It was ok.. the ribs were ok I didn't like the skin so tuff on top. I liked the hotlink..the greens were good.. the potatoe salad bland.. pasta salad bland and the mac n cheese was ok but not worth extra 2.00 the chicken was strange skin was tuff also not fresh i may have gotten yesterday's leftover s.. and reheated..it happens. The sauce was ok..

Some of the worst bbq I've had. Ribs were tender but burnt on top with a bad taste. Sides were pretty bland. They covered everything in a ton of bbq sauce, even the hotlinks Complete waste of a ridiculous $27

Probably the best BBQ restaurant I have ever been to in Sacramento area. They serve takeout only they did away with dining area during Covid and never restored it. I had the lunch special was three ribs and a hot link. The rib was great but had little to no smoke flavor. The house sauce was tomato based and sweet with a little bit of heat. I ordered the greens they were under cooked with no meat flavoring added, they could have been better. Coleslaw was very good. All in all it was a good meal the ribs and sauce made up for some of the lesser quality servings. Looking at the other reviews this place is very inconsistent on quality so I will update next visit.
I have tried to eat at this place five times and three of those times it has been closed with no explanation.

The food here is outstanding! The best BBQ in Sacramento. Everything is prepared and cooked to perfection. The pulled pork, ribs, tri-tip, chicken, hot links are delicious and tender. The fried okra is the best I've ever eaten. Mac n' cheese, sweet potato tots, regular tots, corn on the cob, greens and cornbread are all home runs as well. I'm not a huge fan of the potato or macaroni salads, but there's plenty of other food that I just can't get enough of! I'm telling you, try them all! Get the 4 way and taste four meats and four sides. It's a great deal and more than enough food for for people. If you haven't been here, don't wait another day! Food sells out early so get there as early as you can. They open at 11am on weekdays and noon on weekends. They have lunch specials during the week also. Don't forget the desserts they have in the fridge! Banana pudding, red velvet cake, peach cobbler and more southern favorites!

I Can’t Believe This Place Is Still In Business. The Food Was AWFUL, Everything Drenched In Terrible BBQ Sauce. How Does Your BBQ Sauce Suck So Bad As A BBQ Place? The Greens Should Be A Crime- BLAND and MORE BLAND, No Flavor Whatsoever - Nothing In It At All ? The Cornbread Was So Hard And Dry, Tasted Old. Nothing Special About The Sliced Hot Link, They Even Messed Up The Chicken- The Rib Was A Huge Disappointment, Little Meat, No Moisture. You Just Tasted DRY Meat With A Truck Load Of BAD BBQ Sauce.
Customer Service Is NOT A Thing Here, They Are As Dry And Unhappy As Their Meat. The Whole Establishment Is Just One Big Mess!!

No indoor dining. Solid service though, good food. But to much bbq sauce on the food. I wanna taste the smokey taste. I could taste it but It got overpowered by bbq sauce. Other than that the baked beans are some of the best I've had. Food was still really good. I would still eat here and just ask for bbq sauce on the side

Being from out of town and didn't know where to eat. Saw this and was like yes I need ribs. When I got to the place it looks like it's not on the best side of town and the bldg looks run- down but that's my jam. They were unfortunately out of ribs 🙁 which I wanted badly but they still had tri-tip so we got the plate and sandwich along with the texas tots, corn on the cob and the BBQ beans. And oh man was this worth it. My boy had the plate and I had sandwich which neither one of could put it down and stop eating. I definitely recommend it.

T&R isn't much to look at, but the food is good and the owner is honest. All the meats are tender and the hot links are on point. The sides are not exceptional but a good complement. Ask for your sauce on the side. This is a take out establishment.
