I took my little scrappy to their neuter commuter and they did great. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I also like that they won’t chance your pet’s health just to make a dollar. My Rambo has seizures and they would not chance it there because they don’t have the emergency care they would need. So I like that. Also as I was waiting at the light I looked down and saw this beauty is everywhere you just have to look. And then there is Izzy making sure scrappy is fine I would recommend them

Most Caring Facility
I surprised my wife with adopting a cat, and the process was painless and exciting. The cost was 10.00 this month so I donated the remainder of the normal fee. The staff are all so giving and it shows when you walk into the building. Our cat is at home and has already settled in and is feeling quite comfortable. I am so glad we chose to adopt from this shelter. Top Notch.
Thank You

We adopted Sami, aka Senzi on March 17,2023. She's been the best fur baby ever. Loving, sweet, gentle and funny, friendly and confident. Thank you for saving her for our family.

A little over 2 years ago, we found our boy Will. He had some big shoes to fill since our hearts were still hurting from losing our dog. But Will was perfect. He’s a graduate of the FIDO project. If you don’t know what that is look it up! He’s so well behaved and so loving. And he LOVES other dogs! A little over a month ago, we contacted Wendy and her team because Will wanted a playmate. They immediately recommended Darlene (who we now call Grace - how could we not). They knew they would be a perfect match because they knew both personalities. Of the thousands of dogs they have known in 2 years and the hundreds of dogs they care for each day, they matched these two together and I was love at first sight. We thought it would be a few months before they were snuggling but it’s only been a few weeks and they now hate being apart. We recommend MCAS and the FIDO project daily.

Such a good place to find a new pet! The staff is great and the fees are very low, in some cases, no fee! There is such a need to adopt from and support our shelters

Called to report a public safety issue and the Animal control county employee (Diana) was very rude and useless. Was no help at all and even raised her voice at me. Why do we even pay taxes to get zero assistance from the county?

This morning I brought in three male kittens that I found in my driveway. The instant I walked in the door the front end staff jumped into action making sure that these little babies were safe and secure, they had heating blankets ready formula ready. I am completely and totally impressed by this group of folks. Marion County is extremely lucky to have this group of people running their Animal Services, God bless you all!

This place is a joke! There are abandoned animals at a property adjacent to me have called animal control several times and so have my neighbors. Still nothing !! They are in my yard shredding garbage Obviously, because they are hungry!! And abandoned and skin and bones!
what is it gonna take for them to attack one of my neighbors which are elderly!!? I’ve had enough! Last year, the same thing happened and they refused to come out only receiving a phone call months later asking if there was still a starving dog still next-door!
Yesss and still nobody showed up!
so I ended up taking care of two abandoned dogs on the property. I can barely afford to take care of my family, let alone abandoned animals! Now there are several dogs over there !!! The dogs are an emaciated and running the streets. Since it won’t let me give zero stars here’s your one star this is a joke.
