I literally would give less stars if I could. Joanie joy really messed up our marriage. She made it worse instead.of better. She kept cutting me off when I was speaking and she sided with my husband all the time. She didn't like me. She told me in our counseling session that I pissed her off. Can't believe Joanie is running this place...? Also her counseling room smelled like a subway sandwich... She's a licensed marriage and family therapist LMFT but she shouldn't be.

We have just spent three months living at Link Care and getting full time intensive therapy. I’m sad about all the one star reviews about Link Care being
Hard to get ahold of. They have been extremely responsive in our case. Link Care offers two kinds of services, one normal therapy service for people who live in Fresno, and a second highly specialized residential program for missionaries or those in ministry. Link Care is actually world renowned for the type of specialty care they provide. They work for ministry families with a unique team approach, allowing for holistic and comprehensive care for every member of the family. Their therapists are incredible and we have had a transformative experience here. Highly recommended to spend at least 2-3 months for families in crisis or having experienced trauma or burnout. The living facilities are very reasonably priced- a bit quirky but based in an excellent area of Fresno. Absolutely worth every penny.

We brought our whole family to Link Care and stayed 7 weeks to receive care for our missionary family. While we felt very blessed by the pastoral counseling and by the therapist who was able to diagnose our daughter with Asperger, our overall experience was very traumatic. My therapist yelled out me and criticized me because I didn't know I needed to tell her about my suicidal ideation. She also told me I was very socially awkward and had me join a women's group so I could learn to deal better with women. I was supposed to bring my stuffed animal that she had me buy to that group... My husband's therapist had him secretly watch me for signs or borderline personality disorder - it was really betrayal trauma from my husband's repeated infidelity, but we spent only one session with one therapist talking about that. My other daughter's therapist, know I had and was experiencing perinatal depression, had us come for a session and shamed me telling me that I "HAD to do better." She said nothing to my unfaithful, manipulating, and irresponsible husband. Our marriage therapist, though very sweet, had us work on our communication skills as a couple - all the while my husband was acting out on site. In all, it cost us $13,000 dollars for our stay (which is a steal for "inpatient" therapy, mind you). My husband is now in recovery for his sex addiction and has become a therapist. I have been working with a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist for a year and a half now. I think the hearts of the folks at Link Care are wonderful. However, all the mistakes they made with our family further traumatized us and lengthened instead of helped our healing.

They helped me find a therapist on their site that specialized in my needs. I gained a great deal of healing and overcame depression in about six months. I've continued seeing my therapist on an as needed basis for the last six years.

I am appalled by there services, I have been trying to get seen as a New Client referred by my church and it is ridiculous! I leave voicemails and do not get call backs at all. I have called to follow up and nothing. This truly does saddens me ? I hope this team works on how to have a better call back system and not just have one person handle it all.

I would never recommend this option for counseling, they do not follow up nor do they seem to care if person has a immediate need. Very poor customer service!
