We have nothing but amazing things to say about Chris! I called him in the morning and he came out that same afternoon to look at our attic.
Our pest company had told us (in a very dramatic delivery) that we needed all our attic insulation ripped out & reinstalled, a big and very expensive project.
Chris inspected the attic and assured us our insulation was in great shape and there was absolutely no reason to replace it. He did tell us that it was lacking a bit and we might want to eventually add more insulation to make our home more energy efficient. He sent a quote for that work the very next day. It's nice to know there are still good, honest people out there!
We'll absolutely be using them for insulation work when the time comes.

I have had the worst time trying to get a quote from this company. They are not responsive and downright dismissive.

I called and spoke with Chris for nearly ten minutes on October 27, 2022. He asked me a series of questions about my crawlspace and attic - as he pulled up my home on Google Maps. He then promised to send me a quote within the next day. He did not.

I called back on November 2. This time, Chris was more curt. He didn't seem to remember chatting on the 27th. Fine. I outlined the specs on my house once again. He, oddly, asked if I sent plans over. It was weird to hear I needed to send plans to get a quote for insulation on a house less than 1000 sf. He never asked for plans on October 27.

Overall, he frankly acted putout by the idea of giving a quote. And maybe that's why I never got one: even after calling and answering Chris's questions twice.

Can't help but feel maybe C&R is only good for a certain type of client? Maybe friends and family?

I have used C&R three times. Every occasion has been totally professional. The most recent time I had Jose and Weller do the work and they were like watching artists at work. When they left, there was no cleanup to be done, I could just continue with my project. My experiences have been great!

Very knowledgeable, corrected an error in LED lighting design made by the original installers. They know the hardware and light design aspects well. Their work was very timely, neat, and fairly priced. The quality of their work led to us extending lighting replacement in other rooms of the house. If and when we get to installing LED lighting in the rest of the house, we will definitely call them. It helps also that they are a family business and care about the firm.

We purchased an existing home, that showed signs of animal dropping in the attic. Such as Squirrels, mice birds etc... I contacted Chris at C& R Insulation and we discussed options. He then asked if we would be using the attic for storage since it was so large. I told him we were and he explained the open cell foam spray insulation. He explained the process and how they would suck out all of the old insulation and sanitize the area and how nothing was on the floor and that the foam was sprayed on the underside of the roofs plywood. it would be open to use as we wanted and the attic would become encapsulated and we could put anything temperature sensitive up there since the temperature would never be above 10 degrees above our living area. He also told us the initial cost was more but over the long run the insulation would save us in heating cost by about 30%.
Well we did it and it is one of the best things we could have done. Plenty of storage space and the temperature is not much different then our living area. Thanks again Chris for being responsive and doing a great job. Highly recommend

After the work was completed they walked me through what was done to make sure everything met my expectations. The new closed cell insulation looks great.
