This is our 3rd time booking our Ireland Fly-Drive trip with Air Lingus Vacation Store. We have had nothing but exceptional service. We can't speak to the cancel insurance policy experiences (the one stars). We do purchase it every time, but have never needed to use it, but overall their customer service has been outstanding thus far. Thank you Air Lingus Vacation Store for your service!

We could not travel in March due to my husband’s change in employment status- and his new employer insisted that he start during the scheduled trip. We canceled over a month in advance, supposedly with “cancel for any reason” coverage. Nevertheless the Trip Mates (insurance) denies this is covered and we are out of the whole cost of the trip. We are very disappointed and keep sending documentation to support but they are not honoring what we have screenshots of and the word of the Aer Lingus vacation store customer service representatives who told us each time we called that we had cancel for any reason coverage. Unless they honor our coverage, I am keeping this review up. Buyer beware!

Firstly, They are NOT associated with the Airline. We just returned from a trip using Aer Lingus Vacation Store. Most of the trip was fine, but one of the accommodations was awful. My trip was supposed to be at Castles in the Irish Countryside, and one of the places-- where we stayed 2 nights-- was not a castle, not even close to a castle, it was a dump. Tried reaching out to the urgent help department- which replied the next day- and the reply was to ask the front desk for a different room. Like WTH, The hotel was a dump, not just my room, the entire place was a dump. Emailed them back, trying to get help, they never even replied. I've been home for 2 days now, still no response, You can count on them to take your money, but they are nowhere to be found if you have a problem during your trip. I would have given them 5 stars if they helped me out when I needed them-- since the rest of the trip and accommodations met my expectations, but since they chose to ignore my request for help they get 2 stars, and that might actually be too many.

I called with a bunch of questions about our flight seats and switching around our rental car plans. Barbara was extremely helpful and patient when I kept changing my mind and asking questions. We had a series of conversations about the rental car options, and she took care of everything to make sure our group of 8 was all set! Honestly, some of the best customer service I've experienced in a long time. Was surprised to read these other negative reviews-- not at all my experience.

We purchased airline tickets, car rental and travel insurance through them thinking is was associated with the airline. My husband became ill and couldn’t travel. They would not do anything because we didn’t notify them 72 hours in advance. He was not sick that far in advance. The travel insurance would not cover a dime either. Aer Lingus airline said they would have given us a voucher with 2 hours notice. DO NOT PURCHASE THROUGH THIS COMPANY !!

Attempted to purchase vac package for 9 days Dublin to London to Paris with trip to Versailes. Did not need air from US to UK because of another booking. Only wanted the intercontinental part of the journey. Never got air from Dublin, train to Paris or tour of Versailes Staff insisted that taped discussion had us saying that we only needed hotel bookings. Spoke to 4 different people. Manager only left message essentially saying "too bad this is what you ordered." I vould have booked rooms myself. The whole idea of the "package" was to take advantage of the travel between!

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Sold as a 5 star luxury vacation the properties were mediocre and we drastically overpaid. They booked my children (ages 9 and 11) as adults on the airplane, which meant we were all separated during the 7-hour flight. Lastly, our return flight was canceled and they did nothing to help us, leaving us in limbo. Because we booked through them (a third party) and they didn’t register my contact information with the airline when they booked the flight, the cancellation details, and rebooking information were only communicated back to AerLingus vacations, who never reached out to us. I had to spend a lot of my money and time making international phone calls to straighten everything out. Zero stars and I’ll never use them again. I wish I read reviews before I booked!

You would think they were aligned with the airline, but this is apparently not the case. You have no ability to change seats on your flight, or to pay for an upgrade. Ended up in seats with a bathroom behind and across from us. They booked us in what I would consider a 2 star hotel in Dublin. Toilet ran water down the hole in the floor behind the toilet during our arrival stay. For our departure stay the A/C was out in Our room and the hotel had no concessions (changing rooms, etc) related to this. Our problems were nothing compared to some of the other people in the Lobby so we let it go at the hotel. And unless you are willing to sit on hold for hours with aer lingus they are no help either.
