The absolute worst doctor I have ever met. His bedside manner was horrendous. I was admitted to the hospital and without letting me know, he changed the plan that the two other doctors had set for my care. When I asked him about it, he became defensive and abrasive. I was forced into undergoing multiple tests that the other doctors did not want me to go through. Then, he dictated a plan for when I was to go home. 3 hours later, he changed this plan based on false information and refused to let me talk. He interrupted every time I tried to talk and I couldn’t even get a sentence out. He does not care about his patients. He contradicted and lied about 4 different plans of care throughout the day I was at the hospital. When he was done talking, he left the room without giving me a chance to ask questions. He did not provide the medication that he told me he would provide and then lied about symptoms that would occur when stopping this medication suddenly. I would never trust this doctor with anyone you love or yourself as he is incredibly self-centered and careless when it comes to his patients. He should never be allowed to work with patients again as he could care less about their well-being. I am filing a formal complaint for malpractice against him and I suggest that anyone who interacts with him do the same as he is not a safe doctor. I was sent home with a 21,000 white blood cell count and vomiting up everything I consumed; yet, according to him, I was “fine”.

Thank you, Dr. Amitkumar Patel, for saving my life.
On May 2, I underwent hip replacement surgery. On May 4 night, I felt like I was dying; called the nurse but no doctor came.
On may 5, thank God, Dr Patel came for his daily visit. Hearing about the incident, he prescribed a CT Scan. This revealed a blood cloth in my left lung.
I was put immediately on cumadin.
Without Dr. Patel's intervention, I don't think I would have been abble to write this.
Thank you again,
Sanda Loga, PhD.
